Delete Your TheTrueTrade Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your TheTrueTrade account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to accounts created on the TheTrueTrade platform, including the TheTrueTrade mobile app and www.thetruetrade.io.

BEFORE YOU DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT

  • Close any open positions and cancel any open orders;
  • Withdraw your remaining funds. Balances left on a deleted account may become unrecoverable;
  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you return later, you will need to register again and repeat any identity verification.

HOW TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT IN THE MOBILE APP

  1. Open the TheTrueTrade app and sign in;
  2. Go to Menu → Security;
  3. Select Delete Account;
  4. Verify your identity with the code sent to your email and, if you have two-factor authentication enabled, your authenticator app code;
  5. Confirm the deletion. You will be signed out and your account will be closed.

HOW TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT ON THE WEB

  1. Sign in at www.thetruetrade.io;
  2. Go to Profile → Security Settings → Account Management;
  3. Select Delete Account and complete the verification steps;
  4. Confirm the deletion.

IF YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE APP OR YOUR ACCOUNT

You can request account deletion without the app by emailing support@thetruetrade.io from the email address registered to your account. Please include the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.

WHAT DATA IS DELETED

When your account is deleted, the following data is deleted or irreversibly de-linked from your identity:

  • Your account profile (email address, linked Google or Telegram identifiers, username);
  • Login credentials and active sessions on all devices;
  • Notification preferences, watchlists, and platform settings;
  • Push notification tokens and device associations.

WHAT DATA IS RETAINED AND FOR HOW LONG

As a trading platform, TheTrueTrade is subject to legal and regulatory obligations that require certain records to be retained after account deletion:

  • Identity verification (KYC) records and transaction history — retained for the period required by applicable anti-money-laundering (AML/CFT) and financial record-keeping laws, typically five (5) years from account closure;
  • Records relating to open disputes, investigations, or legal proceedings — retained until the matter is resolved;
  • Blockchain records — transactions recorded on public blockchains are immutable by design and cannot be deleted by TheTrueTrade.

Retained records are stored securely, access to them is restricted, and they are deleted once the applicable retention period expires. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.
